Fury and Whyte, former sparring partners, are tentatively scheduled to meet on April 23

The veteran promoter, along with Bob Arum, has set April 23 for the domestic dust-up.

The current plan is to have a stadium show in the UK. Cardiff's Principality Stadium is the most likely venue, as it has a retractable roofing.

SunSport however understands that other venues may also be considered for hosting the bout.

Fury's fight with Whyte nearly led to an undisputed bout against Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk is scheduled to rematch Anthony Joshua, the former unified heavyweight champion.

However, an eleventh-hour attempt to end the fight fell just before Friday's purse bids.

WBC king Fury will claim a staggering 80 PERCENT of purse, while mandatory challenger Whyte will only take 20%.

This means that the Gypsy King, already super-rich, will be able to bank a staggering PS24.5million and Whyte will get a guaranteed PS6.1m.

Fury, a fan favourite, is excited to have Whyte in his possession and has made a vow to destroy his former training partner.

Fury stated, "Very happy guys, after Warren's confirmation of winning the purse bid."

"Purse bids! Big GK (Gypsy King), is returning home.

"Coming home! I'm coming home! It's a dream come true. Dillian and I are going to put it on the line."

He said, "I'm coming back baby."

"Get ready to witness the largest British dust-up since Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno. The making of history
