Tyson Fury Defends Fight in Leaked Instagram DMs
After the announcement of Tyson Fury's upcoming crossover fight with Francis Ngannou, former boxing star Carl Froch leaked private Instagram messages exchanged between the two. Fury felt the need to defend the highly-anticipated fight in the Middle East, which is being touted as the richest heavyweight fight in history.
Crossover Bout Sparks Controversy
Carl Froch has been vocal about his disapproval of the Fury-Ngannou fight, which comes six years after Floyd Mayweather faced Conor McGregor in a similar crossover clash. Fury reached out to Froch directly on Instagram, stating, "The biggest fight in the world moosh. The richest heavyweight fight in history. Carl, don't hate the player, hate the game."

Not Convinced
Revealing the private exchange on his YouTube channel, Froch responded to Fury's claims, saying, "I doubt that! You v Usyk is far bigger. Anyway, not hating." Froch expressed his disappointment in the spectacle showdown and urged Fury's promoter Frank Warren to arrange a fight with either Usyk or Anthony Joshua instead.
Warren's Teasing and Froch's Critique
Fury's promoter, Frank Warren, had been teasing the fight for months, calling it a "game changer." However, Froch dismissed the claim as he ranted about the prospects of a boxing-MMA crossover fight. He called it a "load of rubbish" and urged Warren to prioritize arranging a real fight for Fury.
