Despite the fact that both sides have made some progress in terms of the payout, it remains to be determined where and when.
EPSN Ringside was told by Mark Kriegal: "It's going to happen."
"How can I find this?" What is the source of contention during the build-up to every major fight? The purse split. Are you unsure if it is 70-30 or 60-40? This one will be 50-50.
"I spoke with Bob Arum earlier today. He said that it is a given. My other sources also agree.
"So, we have one point in contention out of the way, or so it seems. This is good news and a sign that I can be certain that the fight will happen.
"Now, as to when you may've seen reports this week that the Saudi's want it to be held in December - don’t hold your breath on that. Arum and other people I spoke with said it was "highly unlikely".
"Likely date now: February Super Bowl weekend, or possibly the week after."
Kriegal continued by saying that the fight would most likely take place in the middle east with Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi all competing for it.
Even though he admitted that the UK was an outside candidate, he stated it would be Cardiff rather than Wembley if they were to host.
Anthony Joshua was defeated by Usyk for the second time last week. It was a split-decision win that allowed Fury to challenge Usyk, making him undisputed heavyweight champion. Fury will be coming out of retirement to take on the Ukrainian.
Brit Joshua didn't take the loss well and went on an extraordinary rant after the fight.
