Tyson Fury could face Anthony Joshua's rival Andy Ruiz Jr. in March, as Bob Arum suggests two options for Gypsy King

The British contender, however, has gone to arbitration with the governing body over the amount he owes in purse splits.

Fury could return in a non-title fight with a hearing scheduled for March

His US promoter Arum also named Robert Helenius and Ruiz, the ex-champions, as his opponents.

According to him, iFL TV reported that Frank Warren and he were looking for another opponent to fight Fury in Manchester or Las Vegas. It all depends on the opponent.

"So, we're considering Andy Ruiz as an option. He's available.

"This big Finnish kid looked great on the semi-windup on Fury – Wilder card, Helenius. He is a big, strong Finnish kid who can fight.

"Those are the principal men. If it's Helenius, it takes place in the UK. If it's Ruiz we take it to Las Vegas.

Frank Warren claimed that Whyte, 33-year-old, believed he owed 45 percent of a possible purse due to his WBC title 'interim.'

Warren said they were under the impression that the challenger would only get a 20% split.

Promoters aren't sure what the purse split is so they don't know what number to negotiate.

It is possible that Whyte could be overlooked once again, especially with his legal battle.

Ruiz (32), is best remembered for his victory over Anthony Joshua in June 2019. However, he lost the rematch six years later.

Helenius, 37 years old, has a streak of three wins, his last two being against Adam Kownacki (32).

Fury, 33, was a target for a UK homecoming. He had headlined Stateside five times consecutively and has not boxed at home since 2018.

His next opponent and the state of the coronavirus epidemic will decide where he returns next year.

Arum stated that he would love to fight Frank in the United States in his next fight. Frank also wants to fight Arum in the UK, and I'm all for it.

"And Tyson, I believe, prefers to fight in Manchester next time. But I do think we have to look at the whole thing.

"The pandemic has been the major actor in this situation. It could escalate if it continues. I know that the UK has already shut down all sports for January and February, and this could continue into March.

"And if it looks like that's going to occur, I believe we're still not gonna close down in the United States. Especially not Nevada, which has a large tourist economy."
