Boxing champion Tyson Fury has been forced to deny allegations that he used a three-year old picture when showcasing his physique for his cancelled fight against Oleksandr Usyk. The highly anticipated four belt heavyweight unification was scheduled to take place on February 17 in Saudi Arabia, but Fury had to withdraw due to a severe cut sustained during sparring.
Accusations of Using an Old Photo
Fury took to social media to share a picture of his impressive physique, claiming that he was in fantastic shape and ready to reschedule the fight. However, some observant fans noticed that the boxer was wearing the same bright blue pants as in a photo from 2021. This led to speculation that Fury was using an old picture to deceive his followers.
Fury's Response
In response to the accusations, Fury insisted that the picture he shared was recent and that he was indeed in great condition. During an interview on The MMA Hour, he stated, "The picture of me is not an old picture, it's a new picture. I'm in fantastic shape, I’ve been training hard. I've been on a great diet and I was ready to rock and roll."
Rescheduled Date and Wager
A new date for the Fury vs. Usyk fight has been set for May 18, and both fighters have agreed to it. Additionally, Fury and Usyk have put up £10 million of their own money, which they will forfeit if either of them pulls out of the fight within the next three months.

Fury's Message to Usyk
Fury also addressed Usyk directly, dismissing talks of retirement and issuing a warning. He said, "No retirement here, motherf****r. You're getting knocked out. Knocked spark out! May 18, the new date. Live and exclusive from Saudi Arabia, Riyadh season."
It seems that Fury is determined to prove his readiness and showcase his boxing prowess in the upcoming fight against Usyk.
