Tyson Fury faces a potential showdown with unbeaten Cuban heavyweight

Fury's Potential Next Opponent

Tyson Fury may find himself in a mandatory title fight against the undefeated heavyweight Frank Sanchez.

The Cuban boxer boasts an impressive record of 24 wins with 17 knockouts.

Contenders Battling for Title Shot

Contenders are vying for the opportunity to challenge for the WBC title in the future.

Sanchez recently defeated Junior Fa with a seventh-round stoppage on Anthony Joshua's undercard in December.

Meanwhile, Agit Kabayel, also with a record of 24-0, secured a victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov on the same night.

Path to WBC Championship

The WBC has ordered a bout between Sanchez and Kabayel to determine the next challenger for the title.

Sanchez's co-manager expressed eagerness for the fight, citing it as a quick route to a world title for both fighters.

Fury's Upcoming Battles

Tyson Fury was initially set to face Oleksandr Usyk in a historic four-belt unification bout on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

However, a postponement due to a sparring injury has delayed the matchup, with a two-fight series contract still in place.

This situation leaves contenders like Sanchez and Kabayel patiently waiting for their opportunity to challenge for the heavyweight belts.
