Bob Arum, a promoter of US BOXING, claimed that Tyson Fury is in talks with Oleksandr Usyk over a Middle East unified heavyweight match.
This would mean that Anthony Joshua and Dillian Howte would have to step aside in order for the bout to proceed.
Fury is said to be in talks over a unified conflict
Joshua has exercised his right to a rematch with Usyk, after being outpointed in September by the Ukrainian. Fury will now face Whyte.
According to talkSPORT, Arum believes that both fights could be canceled in favor of a single bout.
Arum however suggested that it is not certain that the undefeated would face a united clash for the ages, and that talks are currently in 'total chaos.
He stated that it was chaos. There are no promises from the Middle East regarding a united fight with Fury and Usyk, and Dillian Whyte is stepping aside.
He said, "It's a typical horrible kind of situation. But hopefully it'll get fixed and probably it'll get sorted with a purse offer on Friday."
Arum was then asked by Whyte or Usyk which of them he thinks will be Fury’s next opponent.

He said, "Nobody has spoken to us about buying rights or getting permission to proceed."
Eddie Hearn and Joshua both confirmed previously that AJ would NOT step aside. However, AJ still plans to fight Usyk during the spring.
In another incident, purse bids for Fury and Whyte were delayed once more due to the all-British clash.
According to World Boxing News, a date has been set for the fight. Arum claims that Frank Warren has booked the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, for March 26.
After his five last fights in the States, Fury now wants to return home to the UK.
