Fury is worried about brain damage and debilitating effects if he keeps boxing
Fans of boxing around the world are hopeful that Fury will return to the ring in a major undisputed title fight with Oleksandr Uzyk, the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch.
The fear of suffering a severe injury has made the father-of-six's decision easy.
Fury stated that people say "One more, two more." But, if Fury was in a wheelchair, they would say, "I had four more fights guys, and I got brain damage."
"I'm the one being punched in the head with these giant men... It is a horrible thing, people. I'm fed up and don't want to fight anymore.
Fury, a former unified heavyweight champion, is happy with his career, despite being the undisputed king.
He stated, "I have been on the road for thirteen years as a professional. I traveled all over the globe and fought the most skilled fighters in the country."
"The Americans, Africans, and Germans - I fought each of them, and all fell.
"They all fall to fat f***ers from the north of England."
He said, "There are seven billion people on the planet." Think about that number: seven billion people. I am the f***ing heavyweight champion in the world.
"Number one. "Number one. Out of all the people, I'm the largest, fattest and baldest motherf***er anywhere on the planet.
Fury may be content with his exploits but Joshua's prospect of a historic domestic dustup intrigues him.
He stated, "It's all money, Mr. Businessman - it's not a fighting men."
"I swear to God he wins against [Oleksandr] Usyk, so that I can come out from retirement and fight him free of charge.
"But, the terms are these: I want it at Wembley Stadium, I want to be able to enter, and it should be free to air on television in this country.
"I will fight him in England, and not in a foreign land for more money. Here for free for all the people."
