Tyson Fury names Filip Horgovic against Tony Yoka the fight he would like to see to face Oleksandr Uzyk for his world title

TYSON FURY chose Filip Hrgovic vs Tony Yoka to be the eliminator fight he would like to see for his shot at Oleksandr Usyk’s IBF World title.

On Wednesday, the Gypsy King (33 years old) took to social media to call on the promoters for the match-up to be organized.

Fury will face Dillian Whyte, not Oleksandr Usyk in his next fight

On his Instagram Story, he wrote: "Great fight guys. Can't wait to see this fight." Then he added a series popcorn emoticons.

Fury is currently training to face Dillian Whyte.

He was able to claim AJ's WBA and WBO belts, and he also destroyed any hopes for a Fury vs Joshua British match.

Fury could be unifying the heavyweight division if Usyk defeats Joshua in April. A second fight is scheduled for the UK.

The Ukrainian must face his challengers at some point.

Fury also mentioned the possible bust-up between Hrgovic & Yoka, which would keep these two dangerous heavyweights from his path for now.

Hrgovic, 29 years old, is the No2 IBF heavyweight behind Charles Martin. He also has an unbeaten 14-0 pro boxing record.

Martin lost to Luis Ortiz, who injured his hand on New Year's Day. Joseph Parker is believed to have avoided a fight against Hrgovic as it didn't pay enough.

Joshua is currently No4 on IBF's list, but he will not have to undergo an eliminator in order to claim his revenge.

Yoka is the next in line.

Hrgovic's promoters claim they have spoken to the 11-0 known as Artist, but have received no response.

Sky Sports spoke with Nisse Sauerland who represents El Animal. "Still nothing. "I haven't heard anything."

Yoka was reminded by Hrgovic: "Sign your contract, fight." This is your chance. What are you going do?

RIO RE-RUN

Martin Bakole, a 29-year-old Frenchman, was scheduled to face Yoka this month. However, the fight was delayed by Covid. It could be rearranged for March.

Hrgovic & Yoka were told by the IBF that they have until Thursday at 10 p.m. to make a deal.

At the Rio Olympics 2016, Yoka defeated Croatian Hrgovic and then went on to defeat Joe Joyce to win gold, while Hrgovic took bronze.

Joyce would be next in line, but as the No1 WBO fighter, it would likely follow that path.

Agit Kabayel would be the next in line to Hrgovic. He is obviously desperate to find an eliminator and get a chance at a title.
