Tyson Fury promoter asks Anthony Joshua not to fight Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch for the undisputed title fight

Tyson Fury's promoter has urged Anthony Joshua to withdraw from his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk in order to make way for an undisputed title fight.

If Fury beats Deontay Wilder in October 9, Fury would then face Usyk to win all the heavyweight belts.

Joshua could continue fighting while Usyk is contractually promised the winner.

Bob Arum, Top Rank boss, told iFL TV that Joshua would be happy if we could take another few fights before the rematch against Usyk.

"If people were rational, Joshua would make an agreement with Wilder if Tyson Fury wins. This will allow Usyk the opportunity to fight Tyson Fury.

"And to have each fighter contractually consent in his next fight whether it's Usyk oder Tyson Fury. Again, Tyson Fury should beat Wilder, [Joshua].

"That's sensible. But again, this is boxing, and promoters with fighters and egos not making, in me opinion, the right decision.

"But fighting based on emotions is not the best way to fight."
