BOB ARUM said he is able to talk about a fight between Deontay wilder and rising American star Jared Anderson "by the end of the year".
Wilder has yet to make a comeback since Tyson Fury's brutal knockout defeat in October's epic third bout.
Jared Anderson, American heavyweight prospect
Prospect Anderson, 22 years old, sparred with Fury, 33 in key sparring sessions during Fury's rematch fight and the Trilogy fight.
Arum, who supports the Gypsy King, named Anderson, 36, as a potential opponent for Wilder in late 2022.
Sky Sports quoted him as saying, "Wilder has a tremendous talent." Tyson would agree that he hits like a mule.
"Pretty much anyone in the heavyweight division would lose against Wilder.
Anderson is the only man who can beat him by the end this year.
"I would be willing to talk about a possible Wilder vs Anderson fight before the end of the year.
"We are training him to be the next heavyweight champion, after Fury."
Anderson, 22 years old, is 11-0 all-by-KO and maintained his 100 percent stoppage rate in a recent victory over Oleksandr Tslenko (29), in December.
Arum compared Fury's 6ft 4in heavyweight to Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, and predicted that he would be the heir to Fury’s current throne.
The Hall of Fame promoter stated: "Yes, that is what I really believe he'll be.
Jared will be the next great heavyweight when Fury is gone.
"Mike Tyson was an incredible puncher, but he didn't have much boxing ability. Jared has demonstrated boxing power and ability.
He reminds me more than a young Mike Tyson of Muhammad Ali."
