Tyson Fury promoter issues an ultimatum to Anthony Joshua over Oleksandr Uzyk, and announces Gypsy King's next fight date

TYSON FURY is keen to be back as soon as February, and will determine his next opponent once Oleksandr Usyk has made his decision.

Bob Arum, Fury's promoter, has admitted that fighting Usyk to retain the title is their preferred option.

After Anthony Joshua's loss to the Ukrainian, he decided to invoke his right for an immediate rematch.

Arum still believes AJ can be persuaded to let Fury face Usyk. However, he will support Dillian Whyte in the unlikely event that this is not possible.

Reporters in Las Vegas were told by the promoter: "Here's a story, Joshua is the one who has the ball."

"Joshua could step aside and allow Usyk to fight Fury. Joshua cannot say no. I have to fight Usyk and I have a contract.

"So once Joshua decides, and if he decides he's going fight Usyk, Fury then looks around for an enemy.

"I spoke to him today and if Whyte was reasonable as far as his money is concerned, I'm happy to fight him." We'll fight Joe Joyce if he is not.

Joshua, 32, will rematch Usyk (34), by April, with negotiations to finalize it expected to begin.

Fury, 33 years old, is now linked to Whyte (also 33), who is the WBC interim champion and, in turn, the mandatory challenger.

However, his legal case against WBC that he was trying to force his title shot prevented him actually from being challenged for the belt.

Arum assured that Whyte could fight Fury on a voluntary basis, even though he was not mandated by WBC.

The legendary promoter also revealed that the Gypsy King would like to return in four months.

He stated that he spoke with Tyson Fury and that he wanted to fight again before the end of February but not later than the beginning of March. It will happen."
