Fury Gives a Thumbs Up to Joshua's Move
Tyson Fury has responded with grace after being asked about Anthony Joshua teaming up with his former coach Ben Davison. Davison was responsible for bringing Fury back to the ring after a break due to mental health issues. Despite being Joshua's biggest rival, Fury surprisingly praised the move, calling it a "good match-up" and stating that it's beneficial for Joshua because Davison is local.
A Change in Training for Joshua
Usually trained by Derrick James in Texas, Joshua has made a temporary switch to work with Davison as James is currently in a training camp with Ryan Garcia. Joshua, who is preparing for his next fight against Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia on December 23, is stationing himself in the UK for now.
Davison's Impact on Fury's Career
Davison played a crucial role in Fury's comeback in 2018, helping him shed weight and challenge for the world title in a draw against Deontay Wilder. Fury had an unbeaten record of five fights with Davison before switching to Sugarhill Steward. Coincidentally, Fury's last fight with Davison was against Wallin, where he needed 47 stitches despite winning on points.
