Deontay Wilder was sent a classy message by TYSON FURY to wish him a happy birthday. He thanked his 'awesome ex-opponent' for their epic trilogy.
Wilder was 36 just two weeks after Fury's thrilling third fight in Las Vegas. The bout ended after 11 rounds.
Tyson Fury sent Deontay wilder a classy message of 'happy Birthday'
In an online video message, the Gypsy King wished him all the best.
Fury, 33 years old, stated that "This Tyson Fury AKA The Gypsy Kings" was his name. This is a special birthday message for my friend, Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder.
Wilder, have a great day. We are grateful for the wonderful fights and the trilogy. You're an amazing fighter and a great fighter.
I wish you a wonderful day with your family. I pray that God will bless you abundantly.
"All the best, lots and love from your old pal, The Gypsy King."
In 2018, Fury drew first with Wilder. He dominated the American boxer over 12 rounds, but was twice disqualified.
He won in seven rounds, winning in the rematch fourteen months later. This fight also included a contracted trilogy bout.
Wilder was denied the fight in an arbitration case. Fury tried to face Anthony Joshua (32), in a unification.
Boxing fans should be grateful that the judge sided with the Bronze Bomber following the events of this month.
Wilder was floored three times, dropping Fury twice in round 4, before being finally knocked out.
He initially refused to embrace his opponent and claimed to have no love or respect for the WBC champion.
After some reflection, Wilder sent Fury a heartfelt Instagram message congratulating her.
He said, "I have learned that sometimes you need to lose to win." While I was happy for the win, I loved seeing the fans win more.
"Hopefully, I proved that my true Warrior status and I am a true King in this field.
"Hopefully, we proved that no matter what trials or tribulations life throws at you, you can still get up and fight for the things you believe in.
"Last, but not least, I want to congratulate @gypsyking101 on his victory and thank him for the wonderful historical memories that will be cherished forever."
