Tyson Fury to be ordered to fight Dillian Howte at the WBC convention in November. The fight could take place in February

EDDIE HEAR says that Tyson Fury will be ordered by WBC to defend his title against Dillian Whyte.

The Gypsy King won his belt with a stunning victory over Deontay wilder in their trio fight earlier this month.

Dillian Whyte will be the next man the WBC expects to order to defend the Gypsy King.

A few weeks prior to that Las Vegas thriller, the heavyweight boxing scene was in full swing when Oleksandr Usyk outclassed Anthony Joshua and won the WBA, IBF. WBO, IBO and IBO world titles.

This scuppered a potential showdown between Fury and AJ for unification.

Although the WBC allowed their champ 30 days to arrange a unification match after the Wilder clash, Usyk must first give Joshua a rematch.

Hearn told Matchroom Boxing that he believes Fury will be ordered to fight Whyte by the WBC, despite Otto Wallin withdrawing from his fight with the Body Snatcher due to a shoulder injury.

Hearn spoke out about Alexander Povetkin, 33, beating him in a rematch. He said that Tyson Fury will be fighting him next March.

"Dillian Whyte has been training probably since April. He has been at camp in Portugal for a while, and he spent a lot on it. There were five sparring partners there.

"We received news about four weeks ago from the WBC that Tyson Fury will be mandatory and that if we were to pull out of a fight, then we'd pull out then.

"It's not worth sparring and paying all these men - we had an internal conversation and Dillian Whyte stated that he didn't want to wait one year between fights when he was fighting Tyson Fury.

"We continued with camp, and about two-and a half weeks later he had a shoulder Injury. He was treated by his doctor. We had another conversation. But he wanted to keep fighting and kept all his sparring partners there.

He had been away for a few days, then he returned to sparring. I believe he sparred one time on Monday, and then another. Then he stopped after eight rounds.

"He returned to the doctor and had an MRI. The doctor said that he couldn't fight.

He doesn't require an operation. He'll only need four to five weeks of treatment. It's not going be enough to make him sick.

When asked if that would impact any shot at Fury, Whyte’s promoter Hearn replied: "That WBC fight will be called at convention in approximately three weeks."

"I don’t believe the Fury fight will take place until February at the earliest so it won’t be an issue for me.

"He wanted to fight, and anyone who knows Dillian Whyte will know that he won't shy away from a fight.

"It wasn’t the threat to lose the Tyson Fury fight. He could not continue sparring."
