Tyson Fury US promoter Bob Arum admitted that his sexist remarks at Kate Abdo were 'completely wrong'

TYSON FURY'S American promoter admitted that he was "completely incorrect" in launching a foul-mouthed sexist rant against Kate Abdo, a boxing presenter.

Bob Arum did not apologize for his outburst at Deontay Wilder, a British broadcaster. Fury had called for a face-off on stage between the two before their Las Vegas showdown for the world heavyweight title.

Arum, 89 years old, also claimed that Arum was biased towards Wilder.

He told iFL TV, however: "As far Kate is concerned I was totally wrong.

"We had made an agreement with the producer to televise the weigh-in, and we agreed to no stare-down.

"So, when she demanded a stare down, especially after witnessing the fighters' animosity verbally at that press conference," I exploded. It wasn't her fault.

"The producer was not to be trusted and she received the instructions in her earpierce. She was instructed to order the stare down.

"She is a great commentator and reporter, and she wasn’t the one I should have directed my ire at so I was totally wrong."

Abdo had criticized Arum for disrespecting his wife after he fumed that "they bring this woman from the UK and they're slanting all of the press conference to Wilder.

"And then she realized that the understanding was not face-off. What did she say? "Now, we're going face-off!"

"F*** her. We saved the fight by not letting her face-off.
