Joshua agreed to fight Usyk just weeks after Usyk's defeat.

He said, "Tyson Fury is here." As you can see, Aka the Gypsy King is the WBC heavyweight champion.

"I believe you all know that I will be fighting soon – within the next few weeks.

"And I believe that I must do this in case I have to announce an opponent."

"Anthony Joshua. I know that you lost a fight with Usyk, and that you are beltless at the moment.

"But I would like to give to you the chance to fight for WBC heavy champion of the world and lineal championship in a few months.

"You're coming off of a 12-round fight so you're match-fit.

"I am giving you a few month's notice. If you are interested, I will send you the date and we can chat.

Joshua has now agreed to fight and Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Boxing promoter, opened contract negotiations.

With the fight set for December, the focus has now turned towards the possible venue.

Hearn claims that the only UK venue suitable for hosting the heavyweight match is Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

TalkSPORT was informed by him that at this time of the year, there is only one option: The Millennium Stadium.

"You are leaving behind a lot of money to fight in the UK. But, guess what? These two have a lot of money as well."

Hearn said, "We have our plan. We knew what the original plan was. We've worked on the original plan ever since AJ walked out of that ring, after Usyk defeated him.

"If the opportunity presents itself, great. We have to keep the momentum going, because this is an exciting moment for AJ, especially if he has a chance at Fury. This fight is certain to happen. It will take place in December. Although I am skeptical, we are open to discussing."

Fury offered AJ a 40% split of the largest purse in British boxing history.

Joshua isn’t ranked by WBC so Fury will need to pick him with permission to make the long-awaited domestic dust up happen.
