Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua could be worth an incredible PS150m, making it the fifth most valuable fight in boxing history.

ANTHONY JOSHUA'S all British heavyweight fight with Tyson Fury could be the fifth-richest boxing match, if it takes place.

This highly anticipated fight would be the most profitable ever without Floyd Mayweather.

The fight would not include Floyd Mayweather and would be one of the most lucrative in history.

The battle is expected to earn up to PS150million. This includes the purse, gate receipts, and sponsors.

British fans will want the historic event to be held on British soil. However, Eddie Hearn has previously admitted that this could mean that fighters would need to accept 50% less than what they could get in Saudi Arabia.

Hearn was able to secure a site fee in excess of PS30m for AJ’s Diriyah rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. December 2019. Hearn could also expect to receive a lot more for a bout featuring the Gypsy King.

After much speculation, Fury confirmed that Joshua and he had agreed to a two-fight contract in June 2020.

He tweeted: "It is official FURY Vs JOSUAR AGREED for NEXT Year, I got to smash #bronzebomber before I'll annihilate@anthonyfjoshua#WEARESPARTANS."

Hearn said to Sky Sports that he had spoken with Fury's management team MTK and gave them assurances from Joshua's end that the deal's structure was approved by him.

"And it's from Fury, as well.

"We are in a good position. Both men have agreed to the fight in principle. Two fights.

"There are many things to do in the interim. We are moving in the right direction.

"I am confident that both men have given their blessing for this fight to proceed."

However, AJ's defeat to Oleksandr Uzyk threw a wrench in the works - Fury should be able to rematch that fight first before any possible battle with him.

Fury's second fight against Deontay Wilder was estimated to have brought in over PS50m in US-PPV sales.

This era-defining bout is expected to sell more.

After defeating Wilder in their trio bout, the Wythenshawe-born boxer teased his retirement.

If an all-British super clash of heavyweights goes ahead, Floyd Mayweather's fights will be the only ones that have ever earned more.

The most lucrative received an eye-watering PS678m in 2015 when Manny Pacquiao was finally confronted in Las Vegas.

His subsequent ten-round win over Conor McGregor, MMA's star, was the closest to this figure. It earned him PS662.5m.

Mayweather's fights with Oscar De La Hoya, Canelo alvarez and Canelo Alvarez were the only two other historical bouts that have beaten this likely PS150m AJ Fury figure.

This will place it ahead legendary fights like Lennox Lewis against Mike Tyson, and Evander Holyfield's 1997 rematch.
