'The Rock' will also star in a biopic about Mark Kerr, a pro-wrestler who went on to become MMA fighter and UFC fighter.

The news was announced at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden, New York.

He stated, "Mark Kerr’s story is so incredible.

"Like us all, and like many of these fighters he fought these demons.

"These demons are addictions, these demons are mental health, these dreadful demons, and these demons for getting out. The pressure of fighting before 50,000 people, and what that does to someone.

"Here's an individual who has been through it all and hit rock bottom. But the best thing about Mark Kerr, just like everyone else in this room, all these fighters and warriors is that every day we get up and want to do better tomorrow than today."

Kerr, who was a UFC heavyweight champion and regarded as the best fighter in the World during his MMA career (97-2009), was widely admired.

Fury is now heavily involved in his fitness, following a remarkable 10-stone weight loss which brought him back to the top of boxing.

Through the 2020 lockdown, the 33-year old held daily workouts and shared footage on social media of his running and gym work.

The Furious Method is also a book that he wrote to provide tips and tricks on how to transform your body through exercise and diet.

On Saturday, the Gypsy King will defend his WBC World Heavyweight Championship belt against Deontay wilder in Las Vegas.
