Papa John also revealed that he advised the Gypsy King to resign after the Las Vegas war

Fury's spectacular stoppage of the Bronze Bomber saw Fury register his first ever title defense, which dad John wanted to see the former unified champion go.

The 57-year old told BT Sport that he would have a restful night and is free to choose what he wants.

"I said, "Retire, you've done sufficient." He has won everything and has nothing more to prove. He has millions of dollars in the bank and is secure for his entire life.

"There is more to life than just getting your brain racked to please the public.

"He is his own man and he will do what he likes to do. For me, however, I would like to call it draw right now.

Fury, 33, was suffering from severe elbow pain and had to be treated with numbing shots in both his arms.

John said: "He said, "I couldn't box, my jab couldn't work." He added, "If I missed the jab, the pain would've put it in limp mode. I wouldn't fight.

He said, "The pain when I was throwing a jab was unbearable. Two people were fighting me. He was suffering from the same pain as me.

"So he said that the only thing he could do was get close to make a war. He added, 'I know i wanted more than him.

He said, "And that was it. He said, "Seek and destroy, or be destroyed." He gets me or he gets me.

"He said, "It all went out the window in round five when I got the knockdown."

"He said, "I looked up, and thought, Here we go again. Dog fight mode. This is where you need to go. Trench warfare.'

"And he was there. He was willing to do it for as long as it took. He was the winner, and we thank God for that.

Fury is expected to defend the WBC heavyweight belt against Dillian Whyte in a Battle of Britain.

John isn't convinced that the Brixton Body Snatcher will not cause his son too much trouble.

Dillian Whyte will be The Gypsy King's next assignment

He stated that Tyson was in a different league than these heavyweights. Different. Be nice to him if you want a payday.

"Say nice words about him, and he might just give your a payday.

Tyson will give another chance if you are determined to be horrible to him and make yourself look like the other side to win a fight.

"Dillian Whyte: Be nice to Tyson. Start blowing smoke up his you'know what and you might get shot, kid."
