TYSON FURY'S father claims that his son, the world heavyweight champion, was "dead for three seconds" and was saved by "miracle" hospital workers.
Paris, the Gypsy King's wife, gave birth to their sixth child Sunday. Athena was quickly placed on ventilators after fighting for her life.
Paris and Tyson Fury have positive updates on Athena, their new baby girl at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Tyson's father John also praised Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital's remarkable intervention in Athena's slow recovery OFF ventilators.
John said to BT Sport that it was a "white knuckle ride." There have been many challenges.
"But, we've come out the other side thanks to the professionalism of Alder Hey Hospital Liverpool.
They are the best children's hospital anywhere in the country, if not the entire world.
They're truly amazing. They saved her life by bringing her back to life after she was unconscious for three minutes.
"It's onwards, upwards, starting today."
Tyson, 33 years old, shared a similarly positive message on his Instagram account.
He wrote, "Update for all. Baby Athena is doing well. She has been stable since being taken off the ventilator.
"Thanks for your prayers. We are still in the ICU.
"Thanks to all Drs. and Nurses. God bless you all.
Fury, WBC king, had previously set up a GoFundMe account for the Alder Hey Family House Trust. This page raised PS34,532 toward its PS50k goal at the time this article was written.
To raise additional funds for the fund, the grateful Brit will also sell two WBC belts that she has signed to the charity.
Fury is preparing for a third battle with Yank Deontay wilder, who has been dethroned.
After the Gypsy King was positive for Covid-19, their trio bout was rescheduled to October.
