Tyson Fury's Performance Against Ngannou Raises Concerns, But Carl Frampton Still Backs Him to Beat Usyk

Despite his recent struggles against Francis Ngannou, Tyson Fury has received support from Carl Frampton, who believes Fury will come out on top in his upcoming fight against Oleksandr Usyk. Frampton suggests that a dinner Fury attended the night before his bout with Ngannou may have affected his performance.

Fury's Controversial Win and His Fight Against Usyk

After a controversial points victory over Ngannou, Fury's undisputed title fight with Usyk in Riyadh is still scheduled to take place. Frampton remains confident in Fury's abilities, stating, "I still have Fury as a favorite against Usyk. He obviously needs to be much better than he was in his last fight, which he will be."

Fury and Usyk, both in their mid-30s, are set to meet in the heavyweight division's first-ever four-belt unification. However, Ngannou's surprising knockdown of Fury has raised doubts about the timing of their highly anticipated clash. As a result, Fury's undisputed title decider may be postponed until February.

Star-Studded Guests at Fury's Fight

Despite his performance, Fury kept his undefeated boxing record in front of a star-studded audience. Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, boxing legend Mike Tyson, and UFC superstar Conor McGregor were among the notable figures ringside. The week leading up to the fight saw numerous celebrated names arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Fury's Pre-Fight Dinner Raises Questions

One factor that has caught Frampton's attention is the dinner attended by Fury and Usyk the night before the fight. Frampton questions the decision to engage in such activities so close to a high-stakes bout, stating, "It seems he's doing too much. Both guys were at the gala dinner the night before the event, what's that about? I wouldn't have been doing that if I was fighting. I would have been resting."

Frampton, however, acknowledges that Fury is capable of delivering a better performance and believes that everyone is entitled to a bad day in the ring.

Despite the concerns raised by Fury's recent bout, Frampton's backing suggests that Fury still has what it takes to defeat Usyk in their upcoming clash.
