Frank Warren, a promoter of BOXING has revealed that FOUR names have been discussed in order to defeat Tyson Fury in March.
Dillian Whyte, WBC mandatory challenger, is not one of the shortlisted candidates as the Londoner continues to fight with the organization.
Because of the ongoing Whyte situation, Fury, 33 years old, is unlikely to give up his seat.
Warren spoke to iFL TV and explained that he couldn't be inactive due to the problems created by the arbitration between WBC and Whyte.
"First, we have to eliminate an opponent before we can move forward."
"I won't go into that because it is important to do things first.
"But, we are working very hard on it and there are approximately four in the frame. We will make a decision about that, subject too their availability."
Warren said that Whyte's arbitration hearing with the WBC was not scheduled until March, effectively excluding him from being eligible to fight in that month.
Legendary promoter, Warren also said that the boxers were miles apart in purse negotiations for the all Brit brawl. Whyte wanted 45 percent and Warren wanted it to be 20%.
Fury is often vocal about Whyte's possibility of facing him.
He had earlier vowed that he would'smash in the c s face' and 'butcher his, no problem' if the Brixton bruiser was made his mandatory.
Manchester and Cardiff have been suggested as possible locations by Warren, who is eager to host a British 'homecoming fight'.
To get any action in March, he will first need to make a deal with the Gypsy King.
