Neighborhood Objections Delay Tyson Fury's Dream Mansion
Boxing champion Tyson Fury has hit another roadblock in his plans to build his £4 million dream mansion as neighbors voice their objections. The heavyweight star, aged 35, had hoped to replace an existing property with a larger one featuring a pool and spa.
Protected Bats and Visual Impact Concerns
Last year, the discovery of protected bats in the loft caused delays to Fury's project. Now, residents in Styal, Cheshire, have raised objections, citing concerns about the "significant visual impact" the new mansion would have on the area.
The Determination to See it Through
Despite the setbacks, Fury remains determined to realize his vision. A source close to the situation said, "Tyson feels like he’s having to jump through a lot of hurdles but he’s determined to see it through."
Support from Local Councilor
Not everyone is opposed to Fury's plans. Local councilor Chris Hilliard voiced his support, stating that the proposed property would be a significant improvement over the current one.
Multiple Properties and Family Life
Tyson Fury and his wife Paris currently reside in Morecambe, Lancashire, with their seven children. In addition to the planned mansion, Fury owns a £1 million home occupied by his father on the same road in Styal and a £550,000 house in Lancaster.
Plans for the Future
If Fury receives planning approval, it is unlikely that he will move his family into the new mansion. He has been firm in his decision not to uproot his family from Morecambe. Currently, he is focused on training for his upcoming fight against Oleksandr Usyk next month.
