Unbeaten prospect defends title at Wembley Arena
Super-lightweight boxer Adam Azim is determined to go down in history as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT), and he's already taken a unique step towards achieving that goal - by purchasing an actual pet goat.
The 21-year-old Azim, who currently boasts an impressive 10-0 record with seven knockouts, will be defending his title against Enock Poulsen at Wembley Arena this weekend.
From the boxing ring to the farm: Meet Tootsie
Azim recently revealed that he purchased a pet goat named Tootsie as a symbol of his ambition and dedication to his boxing career.
Speaking to Boxing News, Azim said, "Actually when you know where to look, you can buy goats from loads of places. Once you know, you see them for sale everywhere. I was in the car and saw a sign saying 'goats for sale' so I thought 'yeah'."
Azim explained that he found a farm with several goats for sale and chose Tootsie, whom he promptly named. He paid £150 in cash for the goat.
A detour before settling in
While Azim initially planned to take Tootsie home right away, he realized that his house was currently undergoing an extension and wouldn't be suitable for the new addition just yet.
However, Azim couldn't resist taking Tootsie for a drive around the block in his car before returning the goat to the farm.
Azim's father only discovered the new addition to the family when he noticed mud in the car, undoubtedly left behind by Tootsie.
Azim eagerly awaits the completion of his home extension so that he can bring Tootsie home. He believes his garden will provide the perfect environment for his new furry friend.
The journey to GOAT status
Azim's determination and talent have already led him to significant success in the boxing world. In his last fight in Wolverhampton, he defeated Franck Petitjean in the tenth round, securing the European title in just his tenth professional fight.
With his unbeaten record and a pet goat by his side, Azim is well on his way to making his mark in the sport and achieving his ultimate goal of becoming the GOAT.
