CHRISTMAS DAY should be a time for family. Some of the most famous athletes in the world have taken to social media and posted pictures with their loved ones on the big day.
Fury, a heavyweight boxing champion, and Rooney, a Manchester United legend, wore matching Christmas outfits to celebrate Christmas with their families.
Paris Fury apologized to her fans after Tyson and six of their children failed to time a shot correctly.
On Instagram, she wrote: "Merry Christmas to the Fury's House." It's a blurry picture, but we took a countdown selfie because we were all in this one.
The festive mood was also shared by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, both football greats.
Messi was pictured next to Antonela Roccuzzo (a stunning wife) while Ronaldo took the more traditional route and gathered the whole family for a photo.
Messi flew back to Argentina to celebrate Christmas and to join Ligue 1 during winter break.
Ronaldo is currently in Manchester while the Premier League continues to work through the festive season.
Manchester United's star Georgina Rodriguez, dressed in matching outfits, as did his four children.
Sergio Aguero was snapped with Sofia Calzetti.
Ex-Manchester City striker, recently declared an emotional retirement from football because of a continuing heart condition.
Neymar also wished his fans a Merry Christmas along with his family.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a disgraced ex-Arsenal captain, also posted to Instagram along with his mother and wife Alysha Beghague.
After he had returned late from collecting his mother from abroad earlier this month, Aubameyang was resigned as Gunners captain.
His future at the club is uncertain as Barcelona and Juventus are both interested in a move for him.
He wrote on Instagram, "Merry Christmas #familyfirst" to put all his drama behind him.
