GERVONTA DAVIS might be asked to fight George Kambosos at the WBA.
The American currently holds the secondary 'Regular" belt of the governing bodies.
Unified lightweight champion George Kambosos
Davis, 27 years old, could face Kambosos in the WBA's attempt to merge their divisional titles.
According to World Boxing News the matchup could be required 'in the coming months or by year end'.
Kambosos (28), won the WBA belt along with the WBO and IBF 'Franchise' straps. This was a shocking upset over Teofimo Lopez (24), in November.
After the win, the Australian was a sensation and now has the ability to make the decisions.
Devin Haney (23), who holds the WBC full title, called for an undisputed title decider.
Vasilily Lomachenko (33), and Ryan Garcia (23) are two other names that will challenge Kambosos, the newly-crowned unified king.
The man admitted that all of the top 135lb players are being considered for his next fight. He wants to be back in a stadium.

"I love the Lomachenko battle. Tank Davis is also a big name. Ryan Garcia is a big name. I would love to see him in the ring again.

"I know for certain that Haney and Lomachenko will. That is a huge plus.
