WBC told Tyson Fury that he is allowed to skip DillianWhyte because his 'greedy rival' demanded PS7.5MILLION.

TYSON FURY can now ditch Dillian Whyte, his rival who allegedly wanted PS7.5million to stage a showdown.

The Gypsy King's WBC heavyweight title is up for grabs by the 33-year-old Brixton Body Snatcher.

Fury will likely return to action in spring, but not against Whyte

Fury's US promoter Arum has branded Whyte as "greedy"

He is currently in arbitration with Mexico's sanctioning body about his share of the potential mega-money pot.

Bob Arum, Fury's US promoter claims that WBC boss Mauricio Sulaiman told them to forget Whyte and instead focus on two other opponents for March 2022.

IFL was told by Top Rank's legend: "They want $10million (PS7.5m), but we want $5.5m (PS4.1m) plus a portion.

They said that you don't have to start with eight figures; instead, you should start with ten million.

"They are very greedy, especially in this age of pandemics where you don’t know how many fans you have or which gate you will get.

"We spoke with Mauricio at the WBC. He said that 'it breaks mine but go and fight another opponent, without the WBC title – we will not take it from you.

"Dillian Whyte's friends should be at the table to make the deal to defeat Tyson Fury, but it is unlikely to happen.

"It appears that they will play out the arbitration. Frank Warren (Fury UK promoter) is going to find another opponent."

British fighters will be devastated by the news, especially since the British Boxing Board of Control decided to cancel all January bouts in an effort to beat covid-19.

Fans of Whyte will be especially shocked by this news, as he missed a chance to fight Anthony Joshua for the three world titles in 2019.

After the Deontay Wilder decision, Team AJ claims Whyte declined a PS5million offer for Joshua at Wembley.

Whyte claims it was a dummy deal and that the plan was to go to America to face Jarrell Miller. Andy Ruiz Jr. was then given the opportunity to fight him.

FURY VS HELENIUS MOST LIKELY

Ruiz, a Mexican slugger, is now Arum's choice for Fury, if the new UK lockdown rules require him to travel to Las Vegas to face Fury again in the Spring.

Warren would like to host a UK homecoming if there are no coronavirus restrictions. This would likely be against Robert Helenius, another 6ft 9in giant.

SunSport believes that Ruiz, who is backed by Al Haymon (US boxing powerhouse) and PBC, will not take on Fury without the WBC title.

A bout with the 37-year-old Finnish Viking Helenius is the most likely outcome.

After a disgraceful home ruling over Derek Chisora, Helsinki in 2011, and being outpointed in 2017 by Whyte, the 6ft 7in veteran will be well-known to English fans.

He has since reconstructed his record and reputation with three consecutive stoppage victories, the latest on the undercard to Fury's incredible trilogy victory over Wilder in Oct.
