WBC will announce five new opponents for Dillian Whyte, including Otto Wallin.

DILLIAN WHYTE could finally win the title of heavyweight champion in the world.

The British challenger was WBC No1 for more than 1,000 days, but he never got his chance at the green and gold belt.

Dillian Whyte could finally be able to win the heavyweight title in the world.

Whyte was scheduled to defend his WBC mandatory status against Otto Wallin until he sustained a shoulder injury. He was then withdrawn by doctors.

The evidence of Fury's injury has been provided to the governing body, which could be prepared to summon Fury to face his long-standing rival.

Frank Warren, Gyspy King's promoter, said that it would be up to the champion who fights next. This means Whyte may need backup options. SunSport lists his full list.

Tyson Fury

If everything goes according to plan, which isn't always the case with boxing, Whyte will be ordered by the WBC fight Fury.

Technically, he's a free agent. However, Eddie Hearn has promoted him throughout his career. Hearn could also represent him in negotiations with the Matchroom boss.

Fans of boxing will want to see their opposing teams reach a deal so they can share the TV and promotional rights.

However, it is a mandatory defense, so if terms aren't agreed to it will go to purse bidding. The highest bidder will be awarded the right to fight.

Otto Wallin

Whyte, 33 years old, will need to consider other options if the mega-fight is canceled for any reason.

Wallin, 30 years old, was selected as a stay-busy fighter and is not legally able to force a rescheduling.

However, Whyte is a warrior mentality and is clearly annoyed by the suggestion that he tactically pulled him out with a fake injures.

He could choose to settle the matter with Wallin once and forever, in order to prove anyone wrong.

Andy Ruiz Jr

Another alternative to Fury is the 32-year-old Mexican-American Ruiz.

They were close to fighting last year, but terms weren't reached. Whytetwice faced Alexander Povetkin (42), and Ruiz beat Chris Arreola (40).

Ruiz, despite his shocking win over Anthony Joshua in 2019, is still a major player in the heavyweight division.

It's a fascinating match-up because of his quick hands and Whyte’s aggression.

Anthony Joshua

Although unlikely, this domestic rematch is always an attractive option for both sides.

Joshua, 32, was defeated by Whyte in the amateurs in 2009. However, Joshua lost the rematch six years later in the pros.

They were scheduled to fight again in 2019, but that was cancelled, opening the door to a tri-finale.

They have mutual respect now, but it won't stop them from settling the scores in a huge British clash.

Deontay Wilder

The animosity between them has grown to great heights due to Whyte's inability to be considered for the WBC belt Wilder at that time.

36-year-old Bronze Bomber is unlikely to be motivated to continue boxing through large fights.

He has previously spoken out about wanting to correct the record with Whyte, and he will not be afraid to do so.

Whyte would prioritize fury, but Wilder could be close behind.
