ANTHONY JOSHUA said that he had told his team that they lost a battle but not the war after Oleksandr Usyk's defeat.
AJ was knocked out by the Ukrainian legend last September, and there is an immediate rematch in Saudi Arabia.
After their first fight, Oleksandr Usyk fought Anthony Joshua
Joshua was determined to not give up, and he was the one who picked up the pieces after the crushing defeat.
He stated, "Right after in the changing area, I knew that I would fight again.
"I was telling everyone to come on, what's the f ***?? We are warriors. We lost a battle but not the war. This is an ongoing struggle. It won't end until it is over.
"This is how I remotivated my team. You shouldn't be discouraged.
"I must keep that mindset for the rest my life, even if it means I make mistakes privately or publicly."
Joshua, 32, invoked the right to a second fight immediately, but due to Ukraine's conflict with Russia, the fight was delayed.
This allowed AJ to train with Robert Garcia, his new coach after Rob McCracken had left Sheffield.
Joshua is left with one fight and lots of time to think about it.

He stated that it was a nightmare to sit on the loss for so long.
"The time frame does change every day. I have dedicated a lot my life to this very difficult sport.
"I will continue doing this as long as it takes, but I think that I am quite smart at business now. I'll be 33 in a few weeks and a lot of it will come down to how much my body can hold on."
