Tyson Fury gave Anthony Joshua this week a lifeline to the world championship
Joshua accepted the offer and Hearn spoke to Fury's representatives.
He said that he had a conversation with George Warren, Queensberry Promotions, during a talkSPORT appearance.
This fight is the one that I am most excited about.
"It's a fight AJ wanted for a long while.
"Don't forget that we signed for this fight in 2013 before the court arbitral forced Deontay Wilder to fight for Tyson Fury.
"It's interesting because he retired last week, then he had only come back to fight Usyk. Then he made an offer for Derek Chisora. He wanted half a million, then he retired again. Now he is fighting Usyk in December.
"The message from AJ is clear: we don’t want to go backwards or forwards. We want the fight."
After a record-breaking two-fight deal, Fury and Joshua were ready to fight last year.
