VITALI KLITSCHKO is a heavyweight boxing icon who has become Kyiv Mayor and frontline soldier. He is willing to fight for Ukraine against the Russian invasion.
The 50-year old has enlisted with his brother, Wladimir, an ex-world champion and will not leave his capital city victorious.
The Klitschko brothers will die for their country
He said that he was proud of the patriotic attitude displayed by people. "We don't care about how strong the Russian army, we're willing to fight.
"And we are ready to die for the home country and our families, it's our home.
"It's our destiny and someone wants to take our future from our home."
When asked by reporters how long he believes his army of volunteers can withstand Vladimir Putin's marauding brutes for, he said that his mortality was part of the equation.
He said, "I'm not prepared to give you an answer." "So long, so long - if it's still alive."
Klitschko's compatriot Oleksandr Usyk, the current WBA/IBF and WBO heavyweight champion, has also taken up arms. He revealed that he is willing to kill any invaders who threaten his people.
Klitschko is proud of his extraordinary resilience and dedication.

The powerhouse that lost to Lennox Lewis 2003, nicknamed Dr Ironfirst, revealed that it's not only millionaire sportsmen who stand their ground.
He said, "There's a massive patriotic movement right at the moment."
"Old people! Can you imagine? Doctors, actors, and actors from the theater are all professions that have never expected to fight or to own weapons.
"But they are coming to our aid, and they're ready for battle. It's amazing."
