Gib (front centre) has pulled out
Why was Austin McBroom vs Anesongib cancelled?
Gib stated that he could not proceed with the original date due to issues related to fighting.
According to TMZ Sports, the "head injury" that caused the British social media celebrity to be unable to leave the hospital was not reported by doctors.
SunSport knows that Gib will need to undergo additional testing and consult with a consultant before he can get his license.
In a tweet, he stated: "I've done training camp, worked hard, and I'm ready to fight."
Austin McBroom was victorious in his debut boxing bout last June
"I am primed to fight the individual, but unfortunately I have been told that I must do more medicals in order for this to be sanctioned by LA as a professional fight.
"So in seven hours, I'm going fly to LA for these medicals. Social Gloves informed me that the fight was not cancelled. It's been postponed.
McBroom's Social Gloves Pay-Per-View event is now in danger. He confirmed that he will reschedule the fight with Gib.
He stated that "The fight between Austin and Gib may have to be delayed."
"Out of respect to Gib, I'm going let him explain his situation.
"He doesn't have any other option but to record a video explaining to you why the fight might need to be delayed.
"If he refuses to do that, then I will have no other choice but to tell you guys the story."
"As of now, the team wants to me to continue with the event. They want me to choose a new opponent.
"But again, out respect for Gib, out respect for us training for the past few weeks, out respect for the fans who want to see this fight occur, I'm willingly to postpone."
