Alex Wassabi was originally meant to be fighting KSI, but the match was canceled due to injuries to the latter.

After KSI's initial scrap with Wassabi was canceled, it was time to find a credible opponent for JJ.
Rapper Swarmz was drafted to compete against KSI. He had never fought in the ring.
Fans were dissatisfied and a second opponent was arranged to fight KSI the same night.
Ivan Nikolov was selected because of his winning record as a professional boxer.
Nikolov was subsequently removed from the event due to his neo-Nazi tattoos, and white supremacist beliefs.

Instead of Nikolov, Luis Pineda, a professional boxer, was hired.
KSI will open the card against Pineda before he competes in the main event against Swarmz.
Each fight will last three rounds.
"I replaced my second enemy because... he is a white supremacist," KSI stated.
"Ivan is not my opponent anymore. He was removed.
"The matchmaker was also fired for allowing it to happen." My new opponent is Luis Alcarez Pineda.
He has a better record, 2-5 to be exact, so he hasn’t lost as many times than Ivan. He is Mexican and younger than Ivan, at 23.
