TYSON FURY has been nominated for the BBC Sports Personality Of The The Year award.
Fury, however, will not attend and has threatened to sue the Beeb if he is included on the shortlist.
Why is Tyson Fury arguing with the BBC about SPOTY nominations?
Fury's dispute with the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards dates back to 2015, when he was nominated for the award. This year, Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko in order to become Britain's first heavyweight champion for six years.
After Fury made homophobic comments during an interview, a petition was created to remove Fury from the 2015 shortlist.
He was fourth in the class and attended the awards, where he gave a speech. Fury was also present at the 2018 edition.
Fury was again nominated last year, after defeating Deontay Wilder. However, he made a similar threat this year and was left off the shortlist. He was sixth as Lewis Hamilton, F1's star, won the race.
BBC ignored his threat and, like last year, kept him on their shortlist.
Fury stated to the Daily Mail that "The BBC would not let me win, even if King Kong was knocked out."
"I will relax in the Florida sun while the BBC go about their SPOTY in the winter. Even if they wanted to give me another Special Award (which they did once), I won't be giving another speech.
"But, I think my four nominations are a record. I think what is more important is the fact that America just gave me their much larger ESPY (US Boxing Award).
