ERROL SPENCE JR defeated YordenisUgas in ten rounds. This set up a super-fight against Terence Crawford.
After overcoming a scare in round six the Texan battered Ugas' right side so severely that the ringside doctor was forced to stop the fight.

Spence now holds the WBA and IBF belts and has one missing jewel.
Crawford's WBO title was the only thing that stood in Crawford's way of undisputed supremacy. The US star made it clear.
Spence shouted, "Everybody knows who my next choice is, Terence Crawford."
"That's my fight, that's what everyone wants, and I will get these straps, just like I said.
"I'm going over there to take his s*** also. Terence, I'm coming to get that motherf***ing belt."
Spence, 32 years old, entered the fight after a nearly 17-month layoff due to having had eye surgery.
He pulled out of the dream-fight against Manny Pacquiao (43), which Ugas, 35 won.
Spence, however, refused to stop for a warm up bout as he raced towards the undisputed welterweight title.
He stated, "I had no doubts, I believe in myself 100%, I train 100%."
"I knew that I was coming for the win, this is what my heart desired, I didn’t want to fight someone I don’t know well.
"I wanted a fighter that could bring out the best in me, and I knew Ugas would bring out the best in me,"
The contest's opening stages were tense as Spence was landing with greater frequency, but Ugas was more accurate.
Halfway through the fight, the hero of the town was starting to take control. He began to land heavy blows on his inside.
In round six, however, the tie looked at risk when Ugas stumbled Spence with a quick uppercut.
It destroyed the champion's gumshield and left Spence looking for it. Spence almost paid the ultimate cost.
Ugas, who was more interested in punching than the American and had him hurt, staggered into a rope.
The referee stopped Ugas from advancing on Spence, to allow Spence to insert his mouthpiece.
Spence was able to rest and breathe again after the abrupt pause. A huge sigh of relief could be heard around Dallas' AT&T Stadium.
Sensing that momentum was gone, Spence ran out of the gate in round seven, and this time Ugas hurt.
Ugas was at the retreat when his eye started to swell. The doctor had to take it to the hospital for further examination.
Spence knew his man was available for the taking, and in the ninth Spence backed the Cuban up and unloaded the heavy itinerary.
In round ten, it was the same. Ugas' wobbly legs were stopped by a pair left uppercuts.

Spence was about to complete the job when the ref called upon the advice of the Ringside Doctor.
He decided that Ugas could not continue and ended the exciting fight in Arlington.
Spence is now the unbeaten champion of the three-belt unified division, with Crawford his only opponent for complete dominance at welterweight.
