ERROL SPENCE JR led comfortably on the scorecards, before Yordenis Ugas was stopped in ten rounds.
In a unification bout, the welterweight duo headlined in Spence’s Texas home.
The thrilling action was stopped by Ugas, whose right eye became so swollen that the doctor declared him incapable of continuing.
Spence was the leader in the cards with all three judges: 88-82, 88-83, and 88-82.
This means that two judges scored the eighth round 10-8 in favor of the Texan.
Spence was also badly injured in round six by an uppercut that knocked his gumshield off.
