"You are my family" - See never-before-seen footage from Canelo Alvarez's postfight exchange with Caleb Plant

After the fight earlier in the month, EMOTIONAL footage of Canelo Alvarez applauding Caleb Plant's 'beautiful' family has surfaced.

After a bloody buildup, Canelo defeated Plant in the 11th round.

After the fight, however, all that was lost was the embrace between the two fighters in the ring. Canelo called Plant 'family'.

Mexican star, the Mexican Superstar, complimented his opponent with: "You're an excellent fighter."

A distraught Plant responded, "I'm sorry."

Canelo argued that he was a great fighter and should not be ashamed.

He also apologised for his part in the pre-fight beef fight between the men.

Plant was told by Canelo that he was sorry for his mistakes. But at the end, we are men and humans.

"I am sorry for everything."

After insulting Canelo in the build up to the fight, Plant apologized to Canelo and called the Mexican's mother a "motherf *****'."

He stated that he said "motherf *****'" because he didn't have one. My mum died."

Canelo assured him that he had a wonderful and loving family. You are my family."

After Plant had suffered heartbreak in his family on multiple occasions, Canelo gave him kind words.

The IBF champion has survived the tragic loss of Alia his baby girl, and then lost Beth, his mother, who was later shot to death by police.

Nevertheless, tensions remained between the two during the lead-up to the fight.

Before things escalated into a bloody brawl, the two fighters engaged in a heated exchange during a press conference.

Now that the fighters are battling it out in the ring, their beef seems to be gone.
