Triple G, a former unified world middleweight champion insists that Saturday's outcome will have no bearing on his legacy.

He stated, "Without doubt this fight will not affect my legacy. I can't think of a boxer that would be content with a career as mine, with all my accomplishments.

"I don't feel pressure or need to prove anything.

"It's just another fight to me, a fight people want to see for a long time and now it is actually happening."

Eddy Reynoso, Canelo’s trainer, believes that Golovkin won't be ready to take on his 32-year-old stardom.

He stated that Canelo was better at all things since his last fight against Triple G.

"I'm not being humorous. His conditioning has improved, as well as his technique and his toughness.

"He has more ways of beating you, and I'm going to not say what they are. But Triple G is not likely to be ready for some."
