Adesanya, 32 years old, stated that after the game is over, when I have a family and am done with this fighting s***, I will do something that makes me feel like I'm going to die.

"I just feel the need to do it - I'm an adrenaline junki - so I need something to control the beast.

"If it doesn't, it just feels like it's going in other people's way which is something I don't want to happen in my life." "I need to be able to control the beast."

Mixed martial arts is the ideal outlet for Adesanya, a world-class fighter.

Training is another important aspect. It can sometimes bring the New Zealander to his knees - just as he likes it.

Adesanya said, "I love rolling and with my boys. I love lifting weights, even during lockdown.

"But it's hard to deny the fact that I sometimes have guys like Brad Riddell, Carlos (Ulberg), or Blood Diamond (Mike Mathetha on my back trying my to choke me out.

"Then 3, 2, 1 go, and I have to fight for the choke. There is something primal about it, it activates my brain and I feel just like f ***.

"It just gets my going."

Adesanya currently ranks as the UFC's No2 fighter pound-for pound. He most recently defeated Robert Whittaker (31 in February).
