CONOR MCGREGOR had to admit that he was not under the influence of alcohol during a recent Twitter frenzy, where he reflected upon his UFC 264 loss to Dustin Poirier.
The Notorious sent out 25 tweets in a flash on Tuesday morning - some of which were used to interact with his legion.
Conor McGregor took to Twitter to discuss his UFC 267 Trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier
One of the Irishman's Twitter followers claimed that he was being 'liquored up,' a claim which he strongly denied.
He replied, "Not 'liquored-up' I am waiting for my coaches to gather today's training."
McGregor, 33 years old, is still healing from the terrible broken leg he sustained in his rubber match against Poirier in July.
In the final seconds of Round 1 of Sin City, The Notorious' left leg gave up. He believes that he was just edging ahead of the injury.
McGregor also tweeted the following: "Good angle.
"I can see that the leg was broken before I stood up. It was broken before the guillotine.
"It's the reason I did it. To close out the fight before the injury, this clip contains 4 shots to zero.
"This fight was going 100% my way. But big congrats lads hahaha ye right. Rats
He said, "Can you see the weight in his upkicks that he was eating there as well."
"Which weren't the two heaviest upkicks that I landed.
"Where was he going to from open guard top? He doesn't like to take upkicks in [sic] his face?
"Elbows down through the crown?" No like? "Tough s**t. See you soon."
McGregor's recovery is "ahead of schedule", so much so that he's already back on his feet and hitting the pads.
Audie Attar, Paradigm Sports Management chief, said to SunSport that his manager was pleased with the progress.
"We received our X-ray results back, but we also got our CT scan and ultrasound results.
"And when I see the X-ray view myself, it's healing me so beautifully.
"He is walking now after only 10 and-a-half weeks of surgery.
"And he's doing s*** we don't want him do, like throwing the first pitch at a Cubs game."
