DUSTIN POIRIER stated it was his destiny to win the UFC lightweight title the second time he asked in his last pre-fight message.
Lousiana, the pride of Lafayette will try to win undisputed gold against Charles Oliveira, the defending champ at 155lb tomorrow morning in UFC 269.

Poirier's Hall-of-Fame Career has been filled with highs and lows that he believes have all lead him to a potentially career-defining moment at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena.
After a very intense final staredown Poirier spoke to Joe Rogan, UFC commentator.
"I've paid my dues. For the ultimate view, there is one more mountain.
"Baby! Destiny doesn't make mistakes. Let's go!"
Oliveira, a soft-spoken submission specialist, had to fight through chants "USA, USA" as he made his final prefight declaration.
Brazilian said that "There are a thousand people on your side" but that God's word says that he is above all of them.
"All I can say is that he's with us and I'm going to get him."
Poirier, a fan favourite, hopes to continue his legacy as a legend in the sport by doing better than what he did with Khabib Nurmagomedov in the ill-fated UFC 242 match.
He stated, "If Saturday night I am the world champion, then I have done all I set out to do."
"I have set up my family. We are in a very good financial position.
"I own other businesses. That box must be checked.
"That's forever. To make life fair, I said 25 minutes.
"This is 25 minutes to eternity, 25 to eternity. This is what it is. That can't be taken away.
"Once you are a champion, you will always be a champion." It is very important to me and my wife. It just consolidates everything we have done."
