Nate Diaz defeated Tony Ferguson, after Khamzatchimaev lost weight
Chimaev said he offered Diaz $2million in order to continue taking him on
Tony Ferguson was called in to replace Diaz, 37. While Chimaev faced Kevin Holland,
Chimaev (28), claimed that the Diaz fight could have been stopped after he gave the American ALL all of his earnings from this bout.
Diaz was accused by the Swedish fighter of having declined his proposal.
ESPN quoted Chimaev as saying: "I could lose that weight, but the doctor stopped that."
"So yeah, what could I do now? I was just waiting to see what UFC had to say. I told UFC that I wanted to fight, so I will give all of my money to him.
"This was nearly two million... so I said, give all your money to him, let him fight. He should fight for his money, if he's a gangster.
"But he didn’t want to fight you, you know. "So, who is the gangster now?"
In the fourth round of his last UFC fight, Diaz submitted Ferguson by a guillotine choke. After that, he promised to "takeover" boxing.
Holland was defeated by Chimaev in the first round after a hastily organized fight.
Diaz revealed that he received compensation from the UFC for his weight loss.
He stated: "I was like, if you want me to switch people on me one f ****ng after I've just reduced 15 pounds to make my opponent change, you've got have to give me more than all the champions in that organization.
They were like, "Stupid, we already gave you ...'" and then I was like: "Well, I want more than that then."
Diaz answered the question "I lost track" when asked how much he received from UFC.
