After his retirement from MMA, UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov signed for Russian third-tier FC Legion Dynamo.
Dagestani's hero is an avid football fan who supports Real Madrid and shares his knowledge about the sport.
Khabib signed sensationally for Russian third-tier FC Legion Dynamo team.
Khabib, who had quit the UFC, said he was open to playing professional football.
According to RT, his dream came true after he signed a deal with Legion Dynamo (who were founded in 2015).
Khabib is a friend of Cristiano Ronaldo and once said that he prefers to watch football than MMA.
In a match against AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf, the former UFC lightweight champion in Jan showed his talents.
Khabib posted a video on Instagram last month captioning: "Preparing to make my football debut." I am a free agent and open to accepting offers.
The Russian third-tier football club FC Kamaz offered him an impressive offer. They were prepared to give the MMA star a trial.
Khabib (32), is yet to start with his new side. It is also not known if he will be joining the playing squad.
It is certain that the undefeated fighter won't be returning to the UFC.
Khabib was forced to retire in October following his first fight since the death of Abdulmanap in July.
He refused to fight any offer for a comeback bout, even against Georges St Pierre, 40, his father's favorite fighter.
UFC president Dana White hoped Khabib would rematch Conor McGregor (33), the man he defeated in 2018. This was a UFC record with 2.4 million pay-per-views sold.
White is now content to be happy with Nurmagomedov in retirement and has moved into coaching.
White stated to TMZ Sports, "I have lost all hope. You should too."
He has done it. Believe me, I threw my kitchen sink at him. I tried to get him back, but he seems to have given up.
He's now in the coaches role. He was undefeated throughout his career, and he retired undefeated. Now, he's also undefeated as coach.
"The guy has had nothing but success. He continues to be successful and is moving on to the next chapter in his life." Khabib seems to be done.
