JUSTIN GAETHJE attempted to board Michael Chandler’s ambulance, after the pair had created an instant classic to launch the UFC 268PPV at Madison Square Garden.
After a brutal war in New York City, both men were taken to a hospital.
Gaethje is seen entering Chandler's ambulance in a video by Adam Catterall of BT Sport.
The 35-year old then asks him if he is okay, before he limps on his own.
In the first round, Chandler was the Highlight. The Highlight then defeated Chandler in the second.
Gaethje, who hadn’t fought since last year’s defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov, won the third round to win it 29-28. 29-28. 30-27.
After the fight, both men showed respect for one another. Gaethje told Joe Rogan that he knew exactly who that motherf***er was.
He is a warrior. Let me tell you, we are living in bad times.
"Me and him should be fighting to the death in a f***ing coliseum.
"That's what should happen."
Both men were not able to attend the press conference that followed the event as they were taken to the hospital.
Gaethje, 32 years old, will now be competing against Dustin Poirier, the current champion, and Charles Oliveira for the title.
Poirier and Oliveira will be fighting at UFC 269 Las Vegas next month.
The Brazilian currently has a nine-fight win streak. Poirier beat Gaethje back at 2018.
