JORGE MASVIDAL will finally settle their long-running feud with Colby Covington later in the year.
Two-time challengers for the welterweight title will meet on March 5, in Las Vegas, in the main event at UFC 272.
Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, former roommates and friends, will finally resolve their differences in this year's
.
This long-awaited fight will mark the debut of a pay-per view event without Conor McGregor as the headliner.
Masvidal vs Covington is a fight that pits two of UFC's most prominent names against each other. It has been several years in the making.
After a dramatic fallout, the pair of 33-year-olds and 37-years-old, respectively, have been fighting for almost three years.
Masvidal was friends with Covington for more than a decade, and they were roommates in the beginning of Covington's UFC career.
Their bromance ended in June 2018, when Covington allegedly refused to pay Masvidal's coach for training him for the interim welterweight title bout with Rafael dos Anjos.
Covington, who caused a lot of trouble for his former teammates with his antics, had to leave American Top Team.

Covington said last year to James Lynch, MMA journalist: "We were best friends. Inseparable. We lived together for a couple of years, but we were friends for almost a ten-year."
"Do you think that we would actually be saying these things about one another in the media?"
"Like, when I see him on the streets, he is for sure getting his head dropped on the ground and he's going straight to the hospital.
"He won't be able pay his hospital bills. When I beat him in Octagon, I want the UFC pay for his hospital bills.
"So, I don't want it to be done in the streets. "
James, this is a personal battle. As the UFC says, this fight is real.
"And anyone that thinks that we're still friends, man. I don't know their thoughts, man.
"They must be smoking good marijuana or some other substance."
Masvidal stated earlier in the year that Colby was that one person and that he is a free payper-view.
.
He knows this. He tried to attack me once and I was kicked out.
"And then, I used to go the spots that he used frequent a lot, and got the police to call me."
Both men will be entering the eagerly-awaited grudge match after losing to Kamaru Usman, welterweight king and Masvidal's opponent at UFC 261. He also lost to Covington at UFC 268 in October.
