From Stripping to MMA
MMA fighter Akonne Wanliss shocked fans by revealing that his previous career as a male stripper was more challenging than fighting in the cage. Wanliss, who is signed to European promotion Oktagon MMA, transitioned from a decade-long stint as a performer to focus solely on his MMA career.
Stripping vs. Cage Fighting
Despite his success in the cage with a record of 7-2, Wanliss claimed that taking his clothes off in front of screaming crowds as a stripper was more nerve-wracking than fighting. He emphasized the pressure of pleasing a crowd of women compared to the win-or-lose mentality of MMA.
Eyeing the Prize
Now, at 31 years old, Wanliss is set to compete in Oktagon's €1million lightweight tournament in Czech Republic. With his sights set on becoming a millionaire and the top lightweight in Europe, Wanliss is determined to make his mark in the MMA world.
