Alexander Volkov, a UFC fighter, doesn't want Russia to be affected by the travel uncertainty that has occurred during the conflict in Ukraine.
President Dana White tried to get Volkov to the UK earlier than expected by trying to get him to fight against British ace Tom Aspinall at UFC Fight Night on March 19.
This is due to the UK's crackdown against Russian nationals and countries complicit in Vladimir Putin's illegal invasions of Ukraine.
The Russian bruiser decided to stay put, even though Priti Patel, Home Secretary, cancelled visas for athletes and teams from countries linked to Putin's aggressions such as Belarus.
White stated to TSN that he wanted White to be admitted to England as soon as possible so he could fight.
"When things get out of control, we look at the potential problems and the possibilities and try to find solutions.
"We try and figure out, "If that's going be happening, let's get those guys into England sooner."
"It's clear that we have been trying to get Volkov out of Russia. He hasn't wanted to."
White has the same problems as Russian Interim UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Ya.
Yan may also be affected by Aljamain Sterling's title match at UFC 273 Florida. The American businessman isn't sure what the future holds, just as Volkov was.
White said, "Like I say to you guys all of the time, just as you think that the world is about to become normal again, it gets even more nuts."
"So let's see how it turns out. I keep getting asked questions like "Will Conor McGregor fight to win the title in the fall?"
"I don’t know what’s happening in the fall. We'll find out when the fall arrives.
"If Petr Yan can't get into the country?" I don't know what will happen to Russia and all other things. "I don't know."
