NEW footage of Francis Ngannou’s terrifying KO of Stipe Miocic has emerged ahead of his first defence of the UFC heavyweight title.

Ngannou ripped the 265lb strap from Miocic’s clutches with a vicious second-round KO in their UFC 260 rematch last March.

The Predator became the promotion’s first African-born heavyweight champ with a beautiful counter left hook after being stung by an overhand right, which he followed up with a thudding hammer fist.

And a new angle of the KO – which included audio of the sickening hammer fist – prompted a slew of comments from UFC fans around the globe.

One tweeted: “Nasty!!!”

Another said: “Brutal.”

And another said: “The sound of the hammer fist!!’

One remarked: “The sound of that last hit, man.”

Another said of the final blow: “My god, that hammer fist.”

Ngannou, 34, will be back in action a week on Sunday morning in the main event of UFC 270 in Anaheim, California.

The Cameroonian-born Frenchman’s first title defence will come against a familiar face in his old team-mate Ciryl Gane – who currently holds the interim heavyweight crown.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Ngannou said of Gane’s title: “I don’t recognize [Gane’s] belt.

“I’m the undisputed heavyweight champion. [Gane’s belt] isn’t legitimate, it is a replacement.

“The presence of the champion makes the interim title invalid. And I’m here.”

Ngannou was recently at loggerheads with UFC president Dana White, who publicly told him he’s free to leave the promotion once his contract expires.

But the pair have since held productive talks, with White recently telling Teddy Atlas: “Francis and I bumped into each other the other night at dinner and we had a good talk, he’s not out of contract if he wins that fight, I think he’s got one more fight after that.

“I say it all the time this sport’s fun for me, I love doing this. Contrary to the narrative out there, we’ve made a lot of people wealthy.

“If you don’t wanna be here, if this is not where you wanna be, well that’s not fun for you and it’s definitely not fun for me either. These are all grown men and women.

“Everybody has to make their own decisions in life and go down their own paths, but I think that Francis and I had a good conversation.”
