BKFC is not willing to take 'a risk' signing Chuck Liddell (51-year-old UFC legend), despite MMA star's name power'

BARE KNUCKLE FIGHTING Championship has ruled out a move by MMA legend Chuck Liddell.

The ex-UFC light-heavyweight champion stated that he was open to competing in the BKFC ring and told the promotion last month: "Come talk to me."

The promotion isn't prepared to take a chance on the 51-year old

Liddell (51), would be a great addition to the sport's growing profile.

However, signing The Iceman is a risk that Dave Feldman, president of BKFC is not willing to take.

Feldman recently stated to SunSport that "people want us to sign some guys who have been around for quite a while."

"Like Chuck Liddell's name came up. Chuck is great.

He's amazing, he is a legend, and he can probably bring a lot more name power to our organization.

"But, we believe that Chuck is not ready for this stage in his life.

"It's 51 years of age and we don't want it to be a risk."

Feldman might not want to risk Liddell's life, but the former fighter is interested in adding big names to BKFC’s roster.

BKFC has made several major acquisitions in the past 18 months, including Rachael Ostovich, Paige VanZant and Chad Mendes, former UFC featherweight champion.

Feldman is positive that the promotion will be embraced by many household names.

He stated that "We are not going to take any risk on all of it, but some names out there we are definitely going to sign.

"There will be many free agents soon from different combat sports due to the current state of affairs.

"They are ending their contracts and looking for a new place."

Johnny Bedford and Reggie Barnett Jr. will headline the event.

Alan Belcher, a former UFC middleweight, will be taking on Tony Lopez in the co-main show.
